Q: What type of goods can I borrow against?
We will lend against any goods that we feel we would be able to resell should the customer not redeem them. From Mobile phones and jewellery, to high end watchs, Cars and boats!
Q: How much can I borrow?
Mega Cash will lend from $20 to $1,000,000 if the item is right.
Q: What is the interest rate?
Some of our stores have different interest rates, ranging from 25-30% per month. This interest rate is calculated every month or part there of. Call your closest store to find out their rates.
Q: Are there any other fees?
No! At Mega Cash we like to keep it simple. We dont believe in hidden or extra fees.
Q: How long is the Loan period?
The initial loan period is 3 months. You may redeem your goods at any time during the loan period. The loan can be extended should an interest payment equal to your monthly fee be made.
Q: What I.D will i need?
You will need a combination of identification forms that satisfy the following.
- Name and address
- D.O.B. (issued by a government body)
- Signature
Q: What happens to my goods if I dont redeem them?
If you dont redeem your goods, they will be sold through the shop or online to recover the money we lent you. If the end of your loan term is up but you still wish to keep your goods, contact us asap and see if we are able to hold them a little longer. Not redeeming your goods does not affect your credit score.
Q: Can you come to me?
We offer a premium service for large/expensive loans. With prior arrangement, we can organise terms and pick the item up from you to save you the hassle. Send us a contact form to find out more.
Q: If i buy an item, what guarantee do I get?
All our items are fully tested before being sold and unless stated are sold with a warranty or guarantee of working. Our electrical goods come with a 30 day warranty.
Q: Who do you use are you postage service?
We generally use Australia Post for most items however for some larger items we use a courier. We also use a courier where we know it to be the cheaper option. We choose our postal solution based on what is best for you.
Q: Are we able to pick up items purchased online instore?
Yes, with prior arrangement we do allow collection of items purchased online. Please contact the store you purchased the item from to make this happen.
Q: What happens if the item i purchased online does not turn up?
We offer a postage & handling price for tracking through Australia Post. If you do not take up this option we will assist you with Australia Post but take no responsibility in recovery of costs.
Q: What happens if an item purchased online is damaged in transit?
We ensure all items are well packaged and offer Australia Post insurance as an option. However should you choose not to take up this option we take no responsibility in recovery of costs. Our packaging solutions are state of the art though, so no need to worry.
Q: What happens if an item purchased online is not as described?
We aim to describe the goods as clearly as possible, however sometimes meanings vary from person to person. Please feel free to ask as many questions as required prior to purchasing a product. If the product still does not meet the description provided, please contact our online sales team and they will assist in the next steps.
